Our virtual experiences feature amongst Melbourne hospitality COVID innovations

A big thank you to Kara Irving for including The Wine Loop alongside a number of incredible hospitality businesses in her great piece yesterday on innovative ways Melbourne food businesses have adapted to the COVID-19 climate - and ways we can support them.

If you are still looking for ideas for this weekend, check out the article – your support will be appreciated by each and all of these businesses.

The logistics of taking the event experience virtual then real then virtual again has been a real learning curve. But definitely would not have been possible without the fantastic small, independent winemakers and restaurants who have taken this format leap of faith.

A huge thank you to Jackson Brooke of Jackson Brooke Wine, Stuart Dudine of Alkimi Wines, Matt Froude from Municipal Wines – and to Mel Chester from Sutton Grange Winery for a brilliant adapted in person event between lockdown 1 and 2!

And on the food side, a huge thank you for the incredible support of recent events to Mike Baker and Dan Mason at Henry Sugar, along with Paul and Geoff at Lamaro's Hotel for the pilots. And to Murat at Yagiz for bearing with us whilst plans changed.

The fun and informative afternoons and evenings of great chat, tastes and flavours definitely brightened up these challenging days and looking forward to more events ahead…
